Mortar erodes over time and due to environmental exposure, resulting in structural instability and, in extreme cases, structural failure.
It is very important to choose the right type of repointing material to complement the existing brickwork as incompatible material may result in damage to the brickwork and structure.

Cracks can occur in the walls and may need to be stitched back together to minimise structural instability. Fairview Solutions use 316 stainless steel stitching bars to join the sections back together and repoint with a colour matched mortar.

Remedial Cavity Ties
Cavity ties hold the skins of the building together and can corrode over time from exposure to environmental conditions. Fairview Solutions install 316 stainless remedial cavity ties to hold the 2 or more skins together, patching the external and sometimes internal holes with a colour matched mortar.
Lintels
Flashing and Lintel Replacement
Flashings are important to direct water from a cavity to the external face of a building. Flashings can degrade over time, depending on construction methods and environmental factors. Flashings may need to be renewed to maintain a watertight structure.
Lintel replacement is generally required due to environmental conditions causing corrosion and failure. Fairview Solutions are well equipped to de-load the structure while removing the old lintel and replacing with new to suit.
